Vancouver Whitecaps FC is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Whitecaps Tickets Vancouver, British Columbia, who participates in Major League Soccer (MLS). Whitecaps team are 17 Major League Soccer and replace the USF Division 2 team of the same name, which was owned and managed by the same group that operates the MLS team, and played by the conclusion of the 2010 season this league Whitecaps Tickets. The MLS team is the third to share the legacy of the name Whitecaps. In the 2012 season, the second team in the league, Whitecaps became the first Canadian team to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs.
A group of franchise owners of Vancouver Major League Soccer XII was granted March 18, 2009 by Don Garber MLS Commissioner. Although no name Whitecaps Tickets was provided by the announcement of Vancouver, a year later, the club confirmed that he would keep the name Whitecaps. In preparation for their first season in the MLS Whitecaps brought executive talent from around the world. November 24, 2009, Paul Barber, former Nottingham Outpour FC executive, was announced to join the club as Whitecaps Tickets CEO. Others joined him was the former head coach Tom Sen DC United as director of operations and Dutch citizen Richard Rothschild as technical director and head coach of the residency program.
As head coach of the SL and USF Division 2 next Vancouver Whitecaps, Taciturn Thomason former Iceland international was Whitecaps Tickets confirmed as head coach Sept. 2, 2010, for the first MLS season. He was subsequently relieved of his duties May 30, 2011, after the Whitecaps won just one of their first twelve games. It tom Sen Whitecaps FC director of football operations, Thomason replaced on an interim basis. Whitecaps began play in the MLS 2011 season with their first game March 19, 2011, Whitecaps Tickets against its Canadian rival Toronto FC, who won 4-2. The first objective at the time of the MLS Whitecaps was marked by Eric Hassling.
After his victory to start the Whitecaps have had problems, and they could not get another win in their next 11 games in MLS Whitecaps Tickets, drawing six and losing five. After their 1-1 draw with New York Red Bulls on May 30 coach Taciturn Thomason was fired. Tom Sen took over coaching duties for the remainder of the 2011 season, while Martin Ronnie was announced as the new permanent head coach on August 9, officially taking on November 3. On 3 March 2012, the Whitecaps won their first cup preseason minor in 2012 Walt Whitecaps Tickets Disney World Classic Soccer beating Toronto FC 1-0 thanks to a goal by Camino.
October 21, 2012, the Whitecaps became the first Canadian team to win a place in the MLS playoffs. Two days after the end of the 2013 MLS regular season, Ronnie 's contract was not renewed triggering a search for the new coach Whitecaps Tickets.
